MIT Scratch & Elementary School
Club Coders will create a game with at least two interactive original characters or two player options & must include at least the following to qualify:
● Include an introduction title with instructions on how to play the game
● Include a scoreboard
● Include a unique background, sprites, & concept (no existing games or characters allowed)
● Include a clear ending (example, game over)
● Include music and/or sound effects
Judges will base their scoring on the following:
Originality of game concept 50 points
● Is your concept original or significantly different from a game on the market?
Diverse use of MIT Scratch blocks 30 points
● Does your game make the best use of blocks and variations?
Artwork 20 points
● Is your game aesthetically pleasing?
● Is your artwork, including background and sprites, unique?
You will have now till the day of the summit (April 1st) to come up with this game. We will also give you an hour of work time during the summit to work on final details.
